Survey Techniques Employed

The principal types of research activity which are undertaken on a regular basis are:

  • Quantitative Consumer Research, which can be undertaken either face-to-face in home, in hall-testing locations, or in the street, or on the telephone - as circumstances dictate.
  • Qualitative Consumer Research, which involves mainly focus group discussions and face-to-face individual intensive interviews.
  • Trade and Business to Business Research, which is usually undertaken on a one to one basis, either on the telephone and/or face-to-face, or by focus groups where appropriate.
  • Customer Service Appraisal, which is undertaken by means of conventional mystery shopping activity, and ‘syndicated’ retailer benchmarking.

Each of the above types of survey project may be undertaken either on a one-off basis or semi-continuous repeat basis, again as circumstances dictate. We also set up and carry out continuous research studies based upon specially established trade or consumer panels, as required.
